Commemorative Coin Relief

Born from the vision of a painter who imagined a woman embodying the entire map of Mexico, this relief carries both strength and tenderness. The original artwork was intended to become a commemorative coin for the country’s Independence, a tribute to resilience and identity. My task was to give her vision a sculptural form, translating the painted image into a tactile language of volumes and textures. In this process, the woman ceased to be just an image and became a presence — a guardian of memory shaped in metal.
